Troopers seek vehicle that hit man on back of garbage truck

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers are looking for a lawn care service truck that struck and injured a man standing on the back of a stopped garbage truck on Killian Road Monday morning.

The collision happened around 8:45 a.m. between Interstate 77 and US 21.

Troopers say the garbage truck was stopped when another vehicle attempting to pass hit one of the two men standing on the rear of the truck. 

The worker, who was conscious and able to talk, was transported to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

Investigators say the vehicle that hit the man is a white lawn care service truck with a green flat bed and damage to the right passenger mirror.
