Homecoming planned for South Carolina soldiers

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Soldiers who have spent the past nine months in Afghanistan will return home Sunday morning to a homecoming ceremony with family and friends.

Soldiers of the 133rd Military Police company, South Carolina National Guard, will be welcomed home during a ceremony at Florence Veterans Park in Florence. The park is located directly behind the Florence Civic Center at 3300 West Radio Road.

The company has been deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom for approximately nine months.

The Soldiers are expected to arrive at approximately 10:30 a.m. Please plan on arriving early in the event the soldiers arrive ahead of schedule.
