Two SC lottery jackpots reach over $100 million

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Lottery jackpots are continuing to grow in South Carolina, but with two jackpots over $100 million you have to ask, are you feeling lucky?

South Carolina Education Lottery officials say the odds of winning either jackpot - the $120 million Mega Millions or $110 million Powerball - are about 1 in 176 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot drawing is Tuesday night, with the Powerball following on Wednesday.

"Having two jackpots advertised at more than $100 million for both games is rare and thrilling for our players," said the Lottery's Executive Director Paula Harper Bethea. "We want our players to have fun and above all play responsibly."

The $1 tickets must be purchased by 10 p.m. Tuesday night for the 11 p.m. Mega Millions drawing. The $2 tickets for Wednesday's Powerball drawing must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. for the 10:59 p.m. drawing.
