Shaw reportedly will be ready for East Carolina game

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

We have an update on the injury status of South Carolina starting quarterback Connor Shaw.

The Big Spur is reporting Shaw's MRI results were good and it appears he will be ready to play in the Gamecocks' home opener against East Carolina next Saturday.

Shaw suffered a bruised right shoulder in Thursday's 17-13 win over Vanderbilt.

He was in and out of the game with the injury. Shaw guided the Gamecocks from behind in the fourth quarter for the win.
