Two blocks of Magnolia Rd. are back open to traffic near Two Notch Rd. after crews repaired a gas main break.

The Columbia-Richland Fire Department was called to the scene Wednesday morning. The 2700, 2800 and 2900 blocks of Magnolia were closed to traffic.

The fire department says the 2800 block of Magnolia remains closed.

People who live in the 2800 block of Magnolia were asked to leave their homes. A shelter was set up at Pinehurst Park.

SCE&G says the gas leak has been repaired, but crews remain on the scene.
