RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Interstate 26 is back open following a fiery crash that backed up traffic for several miles northwest of Columbia on Friday morning.

According to the Highway Patrol, an SUV pulling a trailer overturned and caught fire around 6:45 a.m. at mile marker 93.

A spokesperson for the Columbia-Richland Fire Department says crews had to wait for a crane to be delivered to the scene to remove the vehicle from the roadway.

One westbound lane was open near the crash scene.

Highway patrol says two people were transported to Palmetto Health Richland after the crash, but their injuries were non-life threatening.
