COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Viola Walker is sick of it all.

Sick of the fighting. Sick of the arguing. Sick of the violence. Just plain sick of it.

So instead of doing nothing about it, Walker decided to make a stand and make her opinion known on Thursday morning.

Walker stood on the corner of Millwood and Gervais streets with a simple sign and a simple statement.

"It's all about how we treat one another on earth," the sign reads.

"I'm doing this because we all need to get along," Walker said.

It's a sign that seemingly had the support of honking motorists. Yet, it seems to be so hard for us to be nice to each other.

"It hurts my heart to see how we all can't get along," Walker said. "We're always quarreling. Even on the job we cant get along. In theory, we should be treating everyone with dignity and respect."

Walker says recent violent events she saw on the news prompted her to make the sign. It's her hope that her message of peace and goodness cross paths in Columbia.

"I don't have any shame in doing this," Walker said. "I am a praiser and a worshiper. I want to get people to think."
