GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The man who was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Gaffney on Tuesday morning was identified through fingerprints, said Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler.

The crash happened about 12:15 a.m. at the Sixth Street crossing.

Fowler said that Rahdell Pough, of Gaffney, was lying across the tracks at the crossing. He said Pough died instantly.

No one on the train bound for New York from New Orleans was hurt, but the trip was delayed for about three hours.
