Cops: Man secretly filmed female co-worker in nursing home bathroom

A Lincolnton man was arrested Tuesday after police say he taped his cell phone under a locker in an employee-only bathroom.

Rainelle ‘Ray' Paul Tadeja, 20, is charged with for secret peeping, according to a news release from the Lincolnton Police Department.

Deputies says a female employee of the Brian Center, a Lincolnton nursing home, found a cell phone set to video tape under a locker in an employee-only bathroom on July 29th.

The bathroom was a single stall bathroom that was kept locked and only employees have access.

When the female played back the video on the phone she observed a male employee by the name of Rainelle "Ray" Paul Tadeja placing the cell phone under the locker.

The incident was reported to the administrator of the Brian Center and Tadeja was escorted off of the property. The incident was also reported to the Lincolnton Police and the cell phone was turned over to the police.

On Tuesday, the Lincolnton Police Department applied for and received a search warrant to search the cell phone.

The phone contained 100s of photos and videos of Tadeja as well as his friends and families. The only questionable video found on the phone was of the incident reported to the Lincolnton Police Department by the Brian Center.

The video in question shows Tadeja placing and positioning the phone to so that it would record people entering and using the restroom. The video shows a female enter and use the bathroom.

However, the view of the toilet is blocked by the supporting leg of the locker.

Tadeja was interviewed reference the incident and took responsibility for his actions. No other questionable pictures or videos were found in his possession.

He was arrested at his home by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Officer and received a $20,000 secure bond.

The incident did not involve any clients of the Brian Center. The incident occurred in an employee only secured area. The Brian Center cooperated with the Lincolnton Police Department during the investigation.

On Tuesday, August 7, 2012 Lt. Brian Greene and Det. Mark Sain met with the staff of the Brian Center to discuss the investigation.

Officers wanted to reassure them all evidence indicates this was an isolated incident and officers believe there are no other videos or photos from the Brian Center.
