NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS) -
A 37-year-old Prosperity man accused of shooting his girlfriend at a residence was captured without incident by Newberry County sheriff's deputies Thursday morning.
According to the sheriff's department, Robert Kinard was located in Little Mountain on Highway 76 and taken into custody.
Kinard is expected to be charged with attempted murder.
Deputies say they were called to the residence on Highway 773 and found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the face/ear area. She was transported to an area hospital. She is expected to okay as her injuries are not life-threatening.
Kinard was transported to the Newberry County Detention Center where he will be officially charged. A bond hearing has not been scheduled.
