Police arrest 2 teens in connection with violent crimes, searching for third

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Columbia Police say they have arrested two 16-year-olds accused of committing several violent crimes and they are looking for a third teen.

The teens are charged with four counts of armed robbery, two counts of criminal conspiracy and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

They are accused of robbing two women on Lee Street just after midnight on June 28th.  Police say the teens pointed a handgun at the victims and took their purses, keys and cell phones.

Nobody was injured.

Police say one of the teens is accused of robbing a cab driver at gunpoint on June 27 on Lorick Circle.

Police are working to identify two other suspects involved in the Lorick Circle robbery.
