EASLEY, SC (WYFF) - A funeral home in the Upstate is in the process of building a coffee shop which will be attached to its building.

The owner of Robinson Funeral Home in Easley says the shop will serve Starbucks coffee and food items. When it's finished, the 'Coffee Corner' at 104 South 1st St. will be available for friends and family members who have lost a loved one.

"If a family is experiencing a loss, there's nothing like food or coffee to help comfort them," said owner Chris Robinson.

"You often hear about the Starbucks experience. It's not just a cup of coffee, it's an experience. And we wanted to continue to offer coffee to our families but we wanted to do it in the best way possible, just like we try to serve their families," Robinson said.

The Coffee Corner will also be open to the general public.

Starbucks employees will come to the funeral home at the end of this month to train employees, and the Coffee Corner will open shortly after that.

The Coffee Corner will also have a fireplace, TV and WI-FI.
