Crews have cleaned up an area on Interstate 26 where a vehicle caught fire around lunch time.
Around 12:30 p.m., a vehicle fire in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 104 caused traffic to back up for several miles.
South Carolina Department of Transportation cameras showed traffic stacked up as far back as Broad River Road.
Emergency crews had the right two lanes blocked while they worked to extinguish the fire and clean up the roadway.
