Four people have been arrested for holding a mother and her child captive for years in Ashland.
According to the charges, the suspects used beatings, threats of death and threats of attacks from pit bulls and large snakes to hold a woman and her child against their will for two years.More >>
South Carolina Highway Patrol investigators are looking for the driver of what they believe to be a Volkswagen in connection with an incident over the weekend.
Investigators say the incident happened on Interstate 20 around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday when the driver of a 2006 Nissan hit the back of a tractor trailer.
The Nissan driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected onto the roadway.
Officials say a short time later, that driver was hit by what the Highway Patrol thinks is a Volkswagen. Investigators say the driver of the Volkswagen stopped, but left the scene.
