Columbia Police are looking for a man wanted for a shooting stemming from an argument early Sunday.
Police were called to the corner of Sumter and Pendleton Streets at about 2 a.m. Sunday, where a man had been shot in the calf.
Doctors told officers the man's injury was not life-threatening, and he was released from the hospital.
Witnesses told police two groups of people were involved in a verbal and physical fight at a hookah lounge on Sumter Street before the shooting occurred. Police say the suspect broke a bottle over the victim's head inside the lounge.
The suspect and the victim were removed from the lounge by security. While outside, police say the male suspect fired several shots at the victim's group. The motive is not known.
The suspect is described as a black male with a 'mini afro,' last seen wearing a green shirt with the a big, white letter "L" on the front. He was also seen wearing white Air Force One Nike tennis shoes. Police consider him armed and dangerous.
