COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

The attorney for the mother of a missing toddler has responded to the prosecutor's arguments that she should remain in jail until her trial.

Zinah Jennings is charged with unlawful conduct toward a child.  Her son, Amir, has not been seen since November.

Earlier this month, Jennings' attorney, Hemphill Pride II filed a motion that she should be released from jail.  He argued that there is not enough evidence to prove the charge against her.

Prosecutors responded to the request, asking the judge to deny her release.

Pride had three days to respond to the prosecution's motion. He filed the documents in court Thursday, again requesting that the judge dismiss the charge.

If the judge denies the request, a trial date could be set for July.

Police continue to search for Amir.

Just last week, Jennings was ordered to solitary confinement for 90 days following an incident with a nurse at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Pride said Zinah pushed and shoved a nurse over medication.
