GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WYFF) - Repair work was underway Thursday morning after a tractor trailer hit a low hanging fiber optic wire in the Upstate.
The wreck happened on Old Pelzer Highway near Johnson Lane just before 6 a.m.
Crews
on the scene said the top of the truck's cab hit a low hanging fiber
optic cable and the wire ripped the top off the truck's cab.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
Crews said the crash damaged several power poles so work to repair the damage will continue in this area.
