ORANGEBURG, SC (AP) - A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and accused of helping a man after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death last week.
The Times & Democrat of Orangeburg reported that sheriff's deputies have charged Brandon Marshell Tyler as an accessory after the fact of murder.
33-year-old Kyllia Lynett Holback was found dead Friday morning.
Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says Tyler is accused of putting a knife in Holback's hand to make it look like a suicide.
33-year-old Timothy Tirrell Brown is charged with murder. Deputies say he strangled and stabbed Holback several times.
Deputies also said Brown had been charged with animal cruelty, but details about those charges haven't been released.
It wasn't known if Brown had an attorney, and deputies said he was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday. His girlfriend's name has not been released.
