FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) Surveillance video from a Pee Dee department store helped land a man in jail Sunday morning.
Major Carlos Raines, spokesman for the Florence Police Department, says 47-year-old Anthony Gilbert from Lamar was caught in a lewd act on video in a department store.
Police were called to the department store on West Radio Drive shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday where a store employee presented video of Gilbert walking through the store with his hand down his pants, and allegedly pleasuring himself as he stared at employees.
The video shows Gilbert walked through the women's clothing and lingerie sections of the store with his right hand down his pants, using his left hand to pick out a pair of pantyhose.
When questioned by police, Gilbert said he had gone to the store to look for clothes and was "walking and thinking about things."
Gilbert was taken into custody at the Florence County Detention Center where he is charged with exposure of private parts in a lewd and lascivious manner.
Booking records show Gilbert was released Monday morning.
