Motorcycle driver dies in crash

AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Aiken County Coroner has identified the motorcycle rider who died in a crash Friday night.

Coroner Tim Carlton says 33 year-old Chad A. Brown of Warrenville died when he lost control of his motorcycle on Glenwood Drive at about 10:30 Friday night.

Carlton says Brown's motorcycle left the road, overturned and threw him off.  People living nearby found his body and called 911.

Carlton says Brown died at the scene from head trauma. Toxicology tests are being conducted after investigators say they found alcohol in the saddlebag of the motorcycle.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Brown was not wearing a helmet.
