Mooneyhan's Auto Service, LLC
Mooneyhan's Auto Service began as Mooneyhan Gulf in January 1980 by father and son, Bob and Bill Mooneyhan. Bob is a former coach and athletic director at Airport High School. At 19, Bill was a USC student and part-time employee of Jesse Rich - Bill's uncle and previous owner of Mooneyhan Gulf. Since the age of 14, Bill dreamed of taking over his uncle's business. Jesse Rish had operated a country store with gas pumps and auto repair at the same Charleston Highway location since 1946. Jesse was 72 at retirement and had always wanted to go to college. Bill arranged for his uncle to be enrolled at USC.
Mooneyhan's Auto maintains the quality service that began in 1946 by Jesse Rish, and later passed on to Bob and Bill Mooneyhan. While a student at Brookland-Cayce High School Bill worked at his uncle's country store. The majority of the family has worked at Rish's Gulf and Mooneyhan's over the years.
Bob passes away in November 2002, and is greatly missed. Bill still maintains customer satisfaction with the help of Mike Driver. Mooneyhan's is happy to be celebrating their 25th Anniversary: 1980-2005.
