CLARENDON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Eleven people are behind bars after complaints by neighbors led officers to organize and conduct a three month drug investigation in Clarendon County.

Sheriff Randy Garrett said the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force Unit made the arrests in "Operation Round Up" early Thursday morning in several areas in the county.

The 11 suspects face charges ranging from distributing marijuana, crack cocaine and prescription pills to simple possession.

Three suspects remain on the run. Brandon James Bartlette, 19, of Alcolu, Marquel Demone Grant, 19, of Alcolu, and Darryl Joshua Walton, 32, of Summerton are all wanted in connection with this operation.

The task force is made up of Clarendon County sheriff's deputies and officers from the Manning, Turbeville, and Summerton police departments.

Garrett said the main target of the operation was the drug dealers. "They are the ones who pray on the weak and belong in jail," said the sheriff.

The task force was assisted by agents of the State Law Enforcement Division and DNR Officers.

If you know the whereabouts of Bartlette, Grant, or Walton, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
