With the New Year comes a new law that will impact every business
in South Carolina.
As part of the new South Carolina Illegal Immigration and Reform Act all employers
are required to enroll in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify
system. E-Verify is an Internet-based system
that allows businesses to determine the eligibility of their employees to work
in the United States
If you own or manage a business, with one employee or thousands of
workers, you must make sure that you are following the new guidelines. Otherwise
you could face an audit and serious consequences for not following the rules. Whether you see this as more red tape or just
