COLUMBIA,SC (WIS) - Richland County sheriff's deputies have arrested a second man in connection with a robbery that led to the shooting death of a K-9 deputy.

Officials say 23-year-old Pierre Goodson has been charged with armed robbery.

Sheriff Leon Lott says Goodson was originally considered as one of the two victims of the armed robbery, but the investigation revealed that Goodson and Maurice Anton McCreary conspired to commit the robbery.

The K-9, Fargo, was shot and killed trying to pursue McCreary.

Lott says Goodson turned himself in Wednesday morning at the sheriff's department headquarters.

Goodson is being held on a $200,000 bond at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
