It's pronounced Mee-gan.
Meaghan joined the News Ten team in October of 2011. She's a native New Englander, born and raised in Connecticut, but much of her family now lives in the Midlands. She recently moved from Spartan nation where she worked as an anchor/reporter at WILX in Lansing, Michigan. She loved being in a college town and reporting at the state capitol. She covered a wide range of stories including the 2010 gubernatorial election and the controversial medical marijuana law.
She graduated from Wellesley College in Massachusetts and earned her Master's degree from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism in Illinois. Before graduate school, she spent a couple years producing at WFSB in Hartford. Meaghan's proud to say that she's a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient and enjoys speaking with and inspiring young girls. She's also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
When she's not at work, she's at the gym, shopping or traveling. Meaghan enjoys being active in church. She also likes seafood, softball and the Boston Celtics.
While she's trading Mid-Michigan for the Midlands, Meaghan is excited to immerse herself in the area and have a warmer winter. She always wants to know what's going on in your area so e-mail, tweet (@msnewzie) and follow her on Facebook.
