WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Secretary of State's office and the Lexington County Sheriff's Department say a sting conducted between the two offices has yielded the arrest of four people on charges of selling counterfeit merchandise at the Metro Flea Market.

Officials say Tracy Lechell Lomax-McBride and Edward Randy Turner were charged with trafficking illegally pirated recordings. Turned was also charged with distribution of those recordings.

Authorities also arrested Ibrahima Conde and Issaka Dogo in the operation. Conde was charged with distribution of counterfeit items while Dogo was charged with trafficking illegally pirated recordings, distribution of illegally pirated music, and distribution of counterfeit items.

Officials seized nearly 6,300 DVDs and CDs on top of several different types of clothing.

Authorities say the sting resulted from several complaints from people who bought the counterfeit items.

Law enforcement officials will hold on to the counterfeit items until they are destroyed.
