Last week, drug agents from the state Department of Health and Environmental Control and the Lexington County Sheriff's Department arrested four women and two men on charges that they forged prescriptions for painkillers and unlawfully obtained and distributed Oxycodone and Oxymorphone. Metts announced three more arrests this week.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said members of the prescription drug ring have been forging prescriptions and illegally obtaining prescription painkillers at multiple pharmacies in Lexington and Richland counties since August.

Metts said the investigation is ongoing, and investigators have obtained arrest warrants for two men and two women who remain wanted.

Those arrested include:
  • Sarah Ann Buckner, 33, of Lexington -- one count of distributing Oxycodone and two counts of second-offense conspiracy to traffic in Oxycodone

Metts said Buckner was the mastermind, and is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on $65,000 bail. Eadon was released after posting $20,000 bail, but is now wanted on an additional arrest warrant on a charge of trafficking in Oxycodone.

Jeffers and Elkins were released after posting $2,500 bond each. Pelfrey and Ware are being held on Thursday at the Lexington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.  Strickland and Davis also turned themselves into deputies on November 17th and 18th.

Those people still wanted include:
  • Donnie Troy Buff, 39, of Gaston -- trafficking in Oxycodone
