The passing of Steve Jobs last week generated many tributes, eulogies and a genuine outpouring of grief for the loss of his iconic genius. He inspired the invention of some of the coolest gadgets on the planet, and his vision guided their design as well as their functionality. New product launches were unveiled with the same amount of anticipation and mystery as a high couture fashion show, but in the low key, no frills style of this very private, understated man.
Steve Jobs was a computer geek…and an artist. He transformed the geek world of computers into what has been called "the coolest show on earth" and captured the imagination of people all over the world. His MAC became a computer that could interpret creative impulses of users into pictures, designs, and graphics not just numbers and computations. Remember the MAC versus PC guys? He made sure that Apple products were just as beautiful as they were functional, and the world was captivated by his I-creations.
Steve Jobs will live on in our daily lives with these machines that we now think we cannot live without. Thanks Steve…you changed our lives for ever.
That's my perspective. What's yours?
