COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Columbia Police are looking for a suspect they say shot a man in the hand during an attempted robbery at a gas station on Harden Street around 5:00pm.
Officials say the man had just gotten into his car after leaving the gas station
when the robber approached the him while brandishing a weapon.
Police say the man was
struck in the hand with a bullet after he struggled with the suspect and the gun
went off. The victim was in the car with his wife and 10-year-old daughter at the
time of the incident.
No one else was injured and the suspect ran from the
scene. The man's injuries were considered non-life threatening.
