Deputy fired after investigation of officer misconduct charges

Posted: Updated:

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WIS) - An Orangeburg County deputy was fired after the sheriff asked SLED to investigate officer misconduct charges.

Brandon Wilson had been an employee with the sheriff's office since July of 2010.

The sheriff's office wouldn't go into detail about the conditions surrounding the officer misconduct charges. However, Sheriff Leroy Ravenell did say, "I insist on the enforcement of laws of this county, state, and nation equally. We will not look the other way and allow laws to be broken simply because the individual is a member of law enforcement."
