CLARENDON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - An argument between siblings turned fatal early Sunday morning at their mother's home in Alcolu, according to the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Randy Garrett said 56-year-old Leroy Cantey broke into his younger sister's home Saturday.
Both siblings ended up at their mother's home in the 4800 block of Wilson Road where deputies said there was an argument that got physical. They said Leroy followed his sister into a bedroom where an altercation occurred and the woman stabbed her brother once in the chest with a knife.
Leroy made his way to the door where he collapsed, according to Sheriff Garrett. That's when he said the sister tried to provide him aide while her 15-year-old daughter called for an ambulance and the police.
Crews were dispatched to the scene around 1:00 a.m. Sunday. Leroy was pronounced dead at the home.
Sheriff Garrett said the sister was taken in for questioning Sunday morning but no arrests have been made in the case so far.
