RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Deputies have arrested two men investigators say shot and killed another man Sunday evening at a Richland County gas station.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Yhonny Limber Jimenez, 26, was shot just after 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Shell gas station on Percival and East Boundary Roads. On Wednesday, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrests of Yosuani "Cuba" Duarte, 38, and John "Chief" Nixon, 37, both wanted for murder.

Around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Richland County deputies responded to a call of shots fired at the Shell gas station on Percival Road. Upon arrival, deputies found Yhonny Jimenez lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Lott said Jimenez was able to relate the nickname "Cuba" to responding officers before he was taken to Palmetto Richland Hospital, where he died as a result of his wounds.

Investigators were able to identify Duarte from mutual acquaintances, and arrested him at his home in Columbia Monday evening. Upon further investigation, Nixon was also implicated in the murder. Deputies arrested Nixon Tuesday evening on E. Boundary Road in Columbia.

Lott said deputies believe the murder was the result of some pre-existing conflicts among the parties involved. Yosuani and Nixon have been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
