More on the Women's Heart Center …
Providence Women's Heart Center was designed with women in mind. We help women find out their risk for heart disease, learn how to prevent it, and learn how to control it. Our goal is to provide a highly personal approach to the diagnosis of heart disease by screening women and giving them information that will help them make more informed decisions about their health.
Private heart screenings are conducted by an advanced nurse practitioner, a nurse who specializes in women's heart health. After reviewing test results, she will explain the findings and assess any personal risk for heart disease. She will also answer any questions regarding treatment and risk reduction. In addition, the nurse will help schedule any additional consultations that are part of the screening and provide follow-up support as needed.
All results of the screenings are kept confidential. However, we will be happy to forward assessment results to family physicians.
An advisory group comprised of Providence cardiologists and other physicians provides medical oversight to the Women's Heart Center. Our experienced medical staff and health professionals are experts in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.
