COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The American Academy of Pediatrics is adding a new responsibility to doctors.
The group is recommending that pediatricians talk to patients and their parents about the dangers of social networking.
The group says this should be done during regular check-ups.
They say doctors should also offer tools for moms and dads to navigate the social network scene.
The AAP also encourages families to set aside time to unplug and spend a weekend together without any television or computers.
