USC women's basketball season ends in round two

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - In college basketball, it's never a bad thing to be playing in March. That's what Dawn Staley had her ladies doing this year.

The Gamecocks hit the court in round two of the WNIT Sunday to try to extend the season another day.

South Carolina lost to Charlotte at the Colonial Life Arena Sunday with a score of 69-57.

Dawn Staley's name is now being tossed around for the Virginia head coaching job, which is her alma mater. When asked about it after the game, she said the plan is to stay in Columbia right now.
