Planting 10,000 trees in Columbia in 10 years

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The City of Columbia announced it plans to make the city look a little greener.

The city's Forestry and Beautification Division has partnered with Columbia gGeen to take on a big project called "10,000 trees." Over the next 10 years, the city will plant 5,000 trees and hope to reach a 10,000 tree goal.

More on the program will be announced during a news conference Monday in Maxcy Gregg Park.
