Event stresses importance of art and reading

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - It was reading and art fun for the whole family Saturday. Richland Two's education foundation held it's annual Literature and Arts Festival.

There were student performances, lectures, storytime, craft corners, and of course, book signings. One of big name that stopped in was Emmy award-winning journalist, best selling author and University of South Carolina graduate Rita Cosby. "We need to inspire the youth," said Cosby, "We need to inspire the next generation. These are our future stars, and we need to make sure that they're learning and growing every day."

Our own Brandi Cummings was out the festival as well.
