Witness to Challenger explosion reflects 25 years later

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The space shuttle Challenger exploded just 73 seconds into flight 25 years ago on this day. All seven of the crew members, including South Carolinian Dr. Ronald McNair, died.

One person in the WIS News 10 family witnessed the Challenger explosion first hand. Senior reporter Jack Kuenzie was in Florida covering the mysterious disappearance of former Columbia Police Chief Arthur Hess.
