BEAUFORT, SC (WCSC) - A jury was unable to come to a decision on Friday regarding a Walterboro drive-by shooting case that killed three people and injured several others.
Authorities say they fully expect to re-try the case which Danziel "Weezy" Chapman is suspected of playing a part in the November 2009 shooting.
Chapman was one of 20 people arrested and indicted by a grand jury back in June for his participation in gang activity.
He is facing a murder charge stemming from the shooting that killed 45-year-old Charles Kittrell, 21-year-old Christopher Powel and 20-month-old Shaniya Burden.
Investigators say about 25 people were at a family gathering when several people drove by and started shooting.
Six other people were shot, but they suffered non-life threatening injuries.
