COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Columbia Convention Center was taken over by "beer snobs" - as some people call them - Saturday.
The World Beer Festival was in town, bringing over 200 samples of brews.
Thousands of people were at the afternoon session enjoying beer tastings as well food from local restaurants, live music and even educational seminars taught by industry experts.
One beer lover said the hardest part was not drinking too much, too soon. "We might slow down a little bit," said beer drinker Kathryn Reynolds, "We started off in kind of a sprint, but I think now, we hit the flavor station. We're slowing down a little bit. We'll probably pace ourselves for the next three hours."
It cost $40 to attend. There also was a second evening session that lasted from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.
