LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Dozens of people took time out of their busy schedules to roll up their sleeves Thursday afternoon and help the American Red Cross.
The Lexington County Sheriff's Department partnered with the local Red Cross chapter to hold a blood drive along Gibson Road. Officials said they wanted to do their part to help replenish the supply that was reduced after last week's winter weather canceled several drives.
Donors expressed it's fulfilling to know that one act could save lives. "I feel good," said blood donor Terrisa Gore, "I feel like I am helping someone. Somewhere I am helping someone. So it feels good."
If you would still like to donate, you cab make an appointment or get additional information by contacting the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.
