Harbison Blvd back open after bomb squad detonates suspicious backpack

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A busy Columbia street is back open after officials closed it to investigate a suspicious package.

Harbison Boulevard was closed in both directions Thursday afternoon near Barnes and Noble while the Columbia Police Department and Columbia Fire Department investigated a suspicious backpack.

The bomb squad detonated the backpack and discovered it just had clothes and a flashlight inside.
