COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Columbia Fire Department reported that a small shed caught fire at the old Farmers Market off Bluff Road Saturday morning.

Crews were able to get the fire under control relatively quickly.

Chief Aubrey Jenkins said the building had already been torn down, but he indicated the power to the building had not been turned off and sparked the fire.

It is the third fire at the Farmers Market in months. The first one occurred on October 25th with the second following a little more than a month later.

In August, the Farmers Market moved from its location across from Williams-Brice Stadium to Lexington County, on U.S. 321 near interstates 26 and 77. The University of South Carolina bought the Bluff Road site to use for football parking and other events.
