Tests confirm pesticide killed four Lee County hunting dogs

LEE COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Tests confirmed a pesticide was what led to the deaths of four hunting dogs in Lee County, but officials with the Clemson University Pesticide Regulatory Division aren't sure what kind.

More than a dozen hunters, including an 11-year-old boy, were treated at Kershaw-Health in Camden late last month. They and the dogs came into contact with the pesticide while in the woods. The dogs ate it and died immediately.

Officials are not sure when they will have the final results.
