Winnsboro town administrator charged with terrorist threats

WINNSBORO, SC (WIS) - A department administrator for the town of Winnsboro has been arrested and charged with making terrorist threats to her ex-husband's fiancee, according to Fairfield County deputies.

Connie Shackelford, 50, is being held at the Fairfield County Detention Center while awaiting extradition to Columbia County, Georgia. Deputies arrested Shackelford on Dec. 28 on a warrant issued by Columbia County.

Fairfield County Chief Deputy Keith Lewis said Shackelford is charged with "terrorist threats and acts." According to an incident report, Shackelford called her ex-husband's fiancee on Christmas Day and told her, "My mission is to see you dead."

Shackelford is also accused of sending a text message to his son stating, "You need to spend some time with your father, because he won't be around much longer."

Shackelford has been Winnsboro's Community Development/Grant Administrator since 2008. So far there's no word on her current employment status with the town.
