COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - It's hard to believe that less than a week ago the Midlands had a few inches of snow on the ground because temperatures were in the 70's Saturday.
People in Columbia were out during the afternoon enjoying the nice weather. Local resident Paul Makemson was out on the Riverwalk and said he was just as surprised about the warm-up.
"The weather really this year has been kinda crazy, but here we are today out here in shorts and a sweatshirt, just enjoying a great afternoon," stated Makemson.
The 70-degree temperatures won't last long though. Meteorologist Von Gaskin says highs will fall back into the 50's next week, which are normal for this time of year.
