Thousands of Gamecock towels waving for Chick-fil-A Bowl

ATLANTA, GA (WIS) - Gamecock fans are invading Atlanta.

Thousand filled the streets Friday morning for the Chick-fil-A Bowl parade, and thousands more will be inside the Georgia dome for the showdown between USC and Florida State.

17,000 spirit towels were placed in the USC section Friday morning by the Gamecock Club. Keri and Tommy Cochran helped out with the process, which took about two hours.

"We hope that'll energize the team and the guys, get them going," said Keri.

"I hope it sends a message of intimidation," explained Tommy, "We want to intimidate them when they walk into a big-time crowd and they see those towels. They're not for them, they're for the Gamecocks."

The game is slated for 7:30pm Friday.
