COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Wow... What a year it has been!  As 2010 comes to a close and 2011 begins, we take a look back at the top stories of the year on wistv.com.

A bizarre and tragic story that made international news. While looking for a legendary ghost train that supposedly appears in Iredell County every year, a group of ghost hunters encountered a real train. Christopher Kaiser pushed his girlfriend out of the way at the last second but couldn't get off a bridge in time and was killed.

Berkeley deputy cleared in bikini car wash investigation

A unnamed deputy was photographed in a bikini washing cars with dancers from the Diamonds North Gentleman's Club.

WATCH: Woman's McNugget rage caught on camera

A Toledo, OH woman was unhappy when McDonald's would not serve her McNuggets during breakfast hours. She reportedly then got into a physical fight with the store manager and shattered the drive-thru window.

The search for Zahra Baker

The precious 10-year old-girl disappeared from Hickory in October. She was later found dismembered in different areas of Caldwell County.  Her death shocked the community and left many angry at her stepmother and father, who were widely suspected of being involved.  But as the year ends no one has been charged directly in her death.  Zahra's story touched the lives of thousands and brought an entire community together to vow that this will never happen again.  For that she's our top story of the year.

Naked man with mouse lodged in rectum tased, arrested for burglary, assault 

A burglary call for Oconee County sheriff's deputies turned bizarre when their suspect was found naked with a USB-powered computer peripheral in his rectum and apparently drugged, an incident report shows.

    William Huff terrorized Sierra Vista during the spring and summer of 1967. Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
