COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Special Olympics of South Carolina got a late Christmas gift Tuesday. Long's Drugs gave the organization $10,000.
It is part of it's pledge to provide year-round sports opportunities to the many athletes with disabilities or special needs in the Palmetto State. "Its important to give back to the community," said owner Kenneth Long, "We've been very fortunate. We've been successful. Those guys are our customers. They're our patients. We enjoy taking care of them, and they have a lot of needs."
