Santa gets help from Columbia Fire Department to spread cheer

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - It's the one night a year Santa appears to deliver toys to kids around the world, but he made an early visit to the Midlands to spread holiday cheer.

Santa and his crew surprised kids at Palmetto Richland's Children's Hospital. He brought along stuffed animals and toys to bring smiles to children who are recovering away from home during this Christmas holiday.

Columbia Fire Department volunteers even helped with the special event as they hoisted Santa up in a fire engine ladder. That's where he waived to children awaiting his arrival.
